How to Log In to Your EMA Account

Updated July 5, 2026 · Independent guide, not affiliated with Step Up For Students

EMA — Education Market Assistant — is the portal where Florida scholarship families manage everything. Here's exactly where to log in and how to get back in if you're stuck.

The one real login
apply.stepupforstudents.org
Before anything else: only ever log in by typing that address yourself (or using your own bookmark). Never log in through a link in a text or email — that's how accounts get phished.

Logging in, step by step

  1. Open apply.stepupforstudents.org in your browser.
  2. Enter your username and password on the EMA login screen.
  3. Complete the security code (MFA) step if prompted — it's sent to the phone number on your account.

Forgot your username or password?

Use the “Forgot Username” and “Forgot Password” links right on the EMA login screen. They'll walk you through resetting access using the email or phone on file.

Not getting your security (MFA) code?

If you can't access the phone number linked to your EMA account, or the code just isn't arriving, you can request an MFA reset from the login screen. If that doesn't clear it up, call Step Up For Students at 1-877-735-7837 (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. ET). Their official note: they will never ask for your account credentials or banking information by phone, text, or email — so a caller who does is not really them.

Is there an EMA app?

No official EMA mobile app was found in the app stores — EMA is a website you use in a browser. If you spot an “EMA” app claiming to be official, be cautious and stick to the web portal.
